Tim Roumas is an easy-going kind of guy, especially when it comes to what he’s wearing. His “style” is pretty much whatever pants — not jeans — and shirt he pulls on.
“I just kind of do what I do,” he says. “I really don’t care about my clothing or appearance at all usually.”
Despite his (devil-may-care/laisez faire) attitude, Tim manages to pull off some pretty stylish, and eye-catching, ensembles.
Like the outfit he’s wearing in this picture. The blue shirt and red pants compliment each other well, but Tim says that wasn’t intentional.
“I don’t even care if I match usually,” he says. “I’ve been wearing these pants for two to three days.”
He bought the pants from Goodwill about three or four years ago as part of a suit, complete with a wide-lapel shirt. And yes, he does sometimes wear the entire suit for a night out.
The T-shirt he’s wearing, which says ‘You’ve just died of dysentery,” was one he snagged from a friend. For those who grew up helping pioneers hunt for food and tend to their oxen, you’ll appreciate the nod to the old-school “Oregon Trail” computer game.
“I (freakin’) love ‘Oregon Trail,’” Tim says.
His necklace has special meaning. A good friend made the two smaller beads on the side and bought the large bead in the middle at a festival. He gave them to Tim, who tied them onto a rope necklace.
“I never take it off,” Tim says. “I shower with it and everything.”
If you think Tim’s outfit looks good, that’s cool with him. If you don’t, that’s cool with him too.
“I don’t care what everybody else looks like,” he says. “I like what I look like, which is usually different than everybody else.”
